Nutrig Terms of Service

1. General Provisions

These Terms of Service (hereinafter — "Terms") govern the relationship between Nutrig (hereinafter — "Service", "we") and the user (hereinafter — "User", "you") when using the Nutrig web application available at nutrig.app and related mobile applications.

By using the Service, you confirm that you have read these Terms, understand them, and accept them in full. If you do not agree to the Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

Nutrig is a personalized AI-powered meal planning tool. The Service helps users create weekly menus taking into account dietary preferences, allergies, goals, and lifestyle.

Important: The Service is an informational tool for healthy living and is not a medical device, medical service, or a substitute for medical consultation. All recommendations are informational in nature.

3. Medical Disclaimer

Nutrition recommendations generated by the Service are created by artificial intelligence algorithms based on information provided by the user. They:

  • are not medical prescriptions or dietary directives;
  • do not replace consultation with a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified specialist;
  • are not tailored to individual medical indications without appropriate professional review.

If you have chronic diseases, health conditions, or are taking medications, you must consult a doctor before changing your diet.

3.1. Data Accuracy, Allergens, and AI Limitations

The Service tries to flag allergens and to take your wellbeing, goals, and other parameters into account, but it relies on automated algorithms and data that may contain errors or be incomplete. In particular:

  • the artificial intelligence may make mistakes and produce inaccurate recommendations;
  • ingredient and allergen information is detected automatically and may be incomplete or incorrect — some allergens may go undetected or be flagged in error;
  • if you substitute ingredients or products with alternatives, their composition, allergens, and nutritional value may differ and are not accounted for by the Service;
  • calorie, protein, fat, carbohydrate, and other values for dishes, products, and ingredients are estimates and may contain inaccuracies.

You are responsible for independently checking ingredients, allergens, and nutritional information before eating — especially if you have allergies, intolerances, medical conditions, or other restrictions. Do not rely on the Service 100% and always double-check the data. When in doubt, consult a doctor or dietitian. Nutrig is not a doctor and does not provide medical services.

4. Registration and Account

To use the Service, you must create an account. Upon registration, you agree to:

  • provide accurate and up-to-date information;
  • not share account credentials with third parties;
  • notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

The minimum age for registration is 16 years. Users under 18 must obtain consent from parents or legal guardians.

Registration requires accepting our cookie policy. Essential cookies are required for the service to function; analytics cookies are optional.

5. Personal Data and Privacy

We collect and process personal data in accordance with GDPR requirements and applicable law. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.

Particularly sensitive data (health information, medical indicators) is stored in anonymized form tied to an anonymous identifier, without connection to your name or email.

You have the right to:

  • request a copy of your data (Art. 15 GDPR);
  • request correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR);
  • request deletion of your account and all data (Art. 17 GDPR);
  • withdraw consent for data processing at any time.

6. Use of Artificial Intelligence

The Service uses AI language models provided by OpenAI (and/or other providers; an up-to-date list is available on request at privacy@nutrig.app) to generate meal plans and recommendations. We do not guarantee absolute accuracy or currency of generated content. Users are solely responsible for evaluating the applicability of recommendations to their situation.

If you have consented to the use of your data for AI improvement in your profile settings ("Allow data use for training"), your anonymized queries may be used for model fine-tuning. You may withdraw consent in settings at any time.

7. Subscription and Payment

The Service is provided on a subscription basis. Pricing plan terms, costs, and payment procedures are listed on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the billing period.

Payments are handled by our payment providers depending on where you subscribe: Paddle (Merchant of Record for purchases made on the web), the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Store subscriptions are managed and cancelled through your store account.

Refunds and cancellations are described in our Refund Policy and processed in accordance with applicable consumer-protection law. For billing inquiries — billing@nutrig.app.

8. Prohibited Use

When using the Service, the following is prohibited:

  • violating the legislation of the applicable jurisdiction;
  • transmitting malicious code or attacking infrastructure;
  • automated data collection (parsing, scraping) without written permission;
  • creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations;
  • distributing content that infringes the rights of third parties.

9. Intellectual Property

All Service materials (design, code, texts, food images, algorithms) are protected by copyright and belong to Nutrig or its licensors. You receive a non-exclusive right to use the Service solely for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is". We are not liable for:

  • harm to health caused by following Service recommendations without consulting a doctor;
  • data loss resulting from technical failures;
  • indirect, incidental, or punitive damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. All disputes shall be resolved through negotiation, and if no agreement is reached — in accordance with applicable law.
